Aion Strategy Guide

This is a very simple Aion leveling guide for the Elyos, all I’m going to cover is level 1 to 10. This guide is going to be very detail and cover all the quests/campaign quests, this isn’t the fastest way to reach level 10, the fastest way that I know of to reach level 10 is actually just grinding.

Grinding isn’t for everyone, and you’ll miss a lot of quest, and especially campaign quest which is required to be completed in order for you to unlock your Miragent quests at level 50. Also if you’re new to Aion or MMORPG in general take it slow you’re not racing anyone, the point is to have fun follow this guide.

But if you are looking for a want to level faster, or a more complete class based leveling guide, then you should check out: Aion Complete Guide

Getting Started:

Once you have chosen your race and created your character, you’ll enter the world of Aion. Take some time to get a good handle of the game and it’s interface, for veteran player who are familiar with mmorpgs, playing Aion should be a breeze for you, as it is very similar to many other MMORPGs. For those who are just starting out it’s a good idea to learn how to navigate your way around the world and getting to know how to use your skills and toolbars. I know I usually skip the tutorial videos, but they are really good and useful for the new players, so I suggest you use them.

Part 1: Akarios Plains & Akarios Village

Warning: Before you start reading this guide, once you reach level 9 STOP what you`re doing and skip everything and begin reading Part 5 of this guide.

As you load up your character and enter the world of Aion, you’ll find yourself in a beautiful open plain called “Akarios Plains”. Before you start to move around, you’ll see an NPC name “Elpas” with a quest arrow above his head in front of you, he’ll give you the quest “Sleeping on the Job” which requires you to find and speak to Mires. Once you have accepted the quest head north and you’ll find Mires.

At Mires speak to him and complete Sleeping on the Job, and right after you receive your rewards, Mires will give you a new quest call “Kerubar Hunt”, accept the quest and go to nearby him and hunt 3 Striped Kerubs, they are very easy shouldn’t be a problem. After you have successfully hunted 3 Striped Kerubs head back to Mires and accept your rewards, now Mires will give you a new quest “Grain Thieves”, accept the quest.

You’ll need to find 4 Kerub Grain Sacks they are located in the Kerub habitats, there are many habitats in the Akrious Plains, and lots of sacks, but there is one nearby Mires, get the sacks there and go find the rest elsewhere. Once you have gathered 4 grain sacks head back to Mires, you’ll receive another new quest from Mires after called “Report to Polina”, now Polina is located in Akarious Village which is just north of where you’re at if you follow the road. However before you head to the village there are a few more things to complete in Akarious Plain.

While you questing in the Akrious Plain area you’ll see some plants call Aria, it is a good idea to gather 10 of them, as they are required for a quest later in the village. Other then gathering Aria there are 2 more quests in the area that you should complete, to obtain these quests head north on the road(make sure you follow the road). Before you reach Akarious village you’ll meet an NPC named Kales near by a tree, speak to him , and he has a new quest for you “Snuffler Headache”, accept the quest. Go and hunt some Grain Snufflers in the farms near Kales until you get 4 tails for him. Once you have gotten 4 tails for Kales, go back to him and turn them in for your rewards, he’ll then give you a new quest “Helping Kales”, accept the quest and now finally head to Akarious village which is just north across the bridge.

At this point you should be level 3, if you’re not level 3 yet don’t worry about it head into the village anyway. Upon entering the village you’ll be automatically give 2 new quest one of which is your first Campaign quest “Kalio’s Call” and all you have to do is speak to Kalios near the church in the village. The other quest is called “A New Skill”, to complete this quest you must find you’ll class trainer, the village is pretty small so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding him/her.

Part 2: Cliona Lake & Daminu Forest

Tip: Remember you can soul bind, in order to soul bind find a big half bird, half human look stone that glows green and double click it. Once you’re soul bind to a particular area, upon death you return to your bind spot.

Before you leave Akarious village there are a few things you should do, first turn in the quests you received earlier in Akarious plain to Polinia and Uno for your rewards. Now if you’ve gather 10 Aria earlier in the plain, you can now accept a new quest call “Collecting Aria” from Polinia, and then complete it, if you did not gather 10 Aria earlier don’t worry, as you can always get them later. Also speak to Uno, and Minalinerk for 2 new quests.

Uno’s Ingredients - Speak to Uno, go and hunt Pink Beak Airon to acquire 5 hunks of Airon meats.

Abandoned Goods - Speak to Minalinerk to begin, go and collect 5 bottles of wine from kegs at Ager’s Farm. The farm is located at the middle West end of Cliona Lake.

While you’re heading to Cliona lake to complete your quests, you will see Muranes just outside the village with a yellow arrow above her head speak to her and obtain a new campaign, you’ll also see a little house by the lake with a dock there are 2 NPC there speak to Feira for another new quest.

[Campaign]The Kerub Threat – Speak to Muranes, go and hunt 5 Small Horn Kerubs, report back to Muranes, then go hunt big Horn Kerubs till you have 5 Kerubar Fangs. Once you have 5 fangs report back to Muranes again, and finally go back to Captain Kalion for your reward.

To Fish in Peace - Speak to Feira, go and hunt 5 Brownbristle Brax, and 5 Rakelaw Slinks.

[Optional]The Lost Axe -You can only start this quest if you find a Broken Axe Handle from Brownbristle Brax, if you did find it just double click to start the quest. The quest requires you to meet Namus in Daminu Forest, I suggest if you have this quest save it for later.

Once you’ve completed all the quest you can above, head back to the village get your rewards from Kalion. At this point you should be level 4 at least, if you’re not, kill some mobs till you’re. Once After you reach 4 leave the village and head towards Daminu Forest, on the way right be the village’s north entrance you’ll meet an NPC name Melampus speak to him and get the quest “A Book for Namus”, then continue head towards the forest.

Tip 2: You can also upgrade your cube at the cube artisan Shugo NPC in the village to increase you’re backpack storage slot.

Tip 3: Since you can only buy new skill books at the village, you don’t want to always go back to the village every time you reach the level to learn new skills. It is a good idea to but as many skill books as you can to save some trips.

At Daminu Forest you’ll see Namus, Ampeis, and Forest Protector Noah, speak to Namus first to turn in “A Book for Namus” then grab the following new quests.

[Campaign]Request of the Elim – I suggest save this quest till you’re at least level 5 – 6. Speak to Ampeis to begin, talk to Noah beside him, find and wake 2 Sleeping Elders in the forest, report back to Noah. Now Noah wants you to go hunt Dukaki Woodcutters/Lumberjacks at the East end of Daminu Forest for 6 Kobold Axes, return the axes to Noah, go and speak to Daminu(his a very big tree) in the middle of the forest, and finally go back to the village and speak to Captain Kalion. Note: Woodcuuters/Lumberjacks are level 6 and hit hard.

Insomnia Medicine – Speak to Namus to begin, hunt Everglade Sylphen till you get 5 Sylphen Wings, bring the wings to Uno in the village, then return Uno’s soup back to Namus.

Mushroom Thieves - Speak to Ampeis to begin, hunt 8 Short Bristle Megipus.

The Elim’s Message – Speak to Namus to begin, go to Cliona Lake talk to Feria, then talk to Asteros back at Akarios Village.

[Optional] The Nymph’s Gown - This quest can only be acquire if you have Namus’ Dairy which drops from Grove Abex, once you get the item double click to begin the quest. Talk to Namus, he’ll want you to steal the Feathered Grown in Nymph’s Pond(This can only be done at night in game from 7PM to 9AM). Becareful because once you get the gown Nymph in the pond will attack you, she hits very hard and is ranged, but she doesn’t chase you so just run. Now that you’ve the gown you have a choice, you can bring the gown to Namus, or Asteros depending on your action different quest can be unlock later. Personally I don’t think it’s a big deal, but if you care here is detail below:

1. Give robe to Namus — no further quest.
2. Talk to Namus, refuse to give him the robe, then turn it to Asteros — Unlocks: A Lingering Mystery (4350 XP
2400 Kinah)
3. Talk to Namus, refuse to give him the robe, then talk to Namus again and turn in the robe to him — Unlocks: An Axe For Namus. (2350 XP, 300 Kinah)

Note: Grove Abex are pack mobs, although they are none aggressive mobs, but if you attack an Abex while it’s near another Grove Abex that one will help and attack you as well.

You should be level 6 by now, if you’re not get to level 6. Anyway head back to Akarios village, on your way back you should see Pranoa, and he has a new quest for you “Light up the NIght”. After you got the quest you can choose to complete it now or later, but head back to the village in any case. Back at the village speak to Mune, Polinia, and Baevrunerk for 3 new quests.

Light Up The Night - Speak to Pranoa, hunt Two-Day Sparkies in Daminu Forest for 6 Sparkie Luciferins.

Perno’s Robe – Speak to Mune to begin, go and hunt Grove Abex for 5 skins, then return to Mune with the skins.

Polinia’s Ointment – Speak to Polinia to begin, deliver the ointment to Melponeh in Melponeh’s Campsite.

Ancient Cube - Speak to Baevunerk to begin, find the Ancient cube in Kabarah Strip Mine and return it to Baevunerk. The Cube is a small box located in one of the mining site of the strip mine, the site is located mid North of the whole Mine.

Head back to Daminu Forest to complete Perno’s Robe quest, and if you didn’t get the quest “A Taste of Namus’s Medicine” from Namus earlier which requires you to be level 6 to obtain get it now. Also if you still haven’t complete “Request of the Elim” yet, do it now. Once you completed everything head back to the village again turn in any quest you have and get your reward then fly to Melponeh’s Campsite.
